I do. The spray from the tires doesn't seem to be a problem.
There's a pretty good wind trying to keep the water out, so I doubt the
cylinders see much spray. The cast iron exhaust logs and the aluminum heads
shouldn't be a problem. My concern has always been the cylinders.
I had the shrouds on when I got in deep enough to float the car a few years
ago, but I'm sure they filled up with water anyway. Dumping the hot engine
into a "lake" can't be good for it, but nothing warped permanently (that
time).
