Didn't Bill Hubbel have a real nice functioning display of a brake
set-up. I don't have time to look but I also thought he had some nice
pictures of it on his photo hosting site. If I recall the pictures were
close enough to see the color of the springs and the placement.

Anyone remember or bookmark Bill's site?

I don't have it handy...

It's pretty hard to screw up where thefive brake springs go; they're all
a
different length.
The primary and secondary springs have one end longer than the other,
and
the primary one is the longer of the two, as it has to hook onto the
stud at
12 o'clock. The secondary one hooks on the self adjuster link, hence is
shorter. It's 'almost' impossible to reverse these.
The parking brake spring is smaller in diameter and isn't usually taken
apart. The bottom spring (at 6 o'clock) is unique.
And the self adjuster return spring is also unique at an 1" long and no
hook
ends.
And yes, colors arte supposed to tell you something about the spring
rate,
but I don't have that handy.
