for the brake shoe returns?   My local brake shop says they are readily
available and that the color  indicates the tension each spring can exert, I

Buy a set of brake hardware from one of the vendors and you will have all  of 
the
correct springs.  Do the brake job right.  Remember, "starting  out is 
optional - 
stopping is mandatory."
