<VV> Shifters

Well guys, I'm afraid all I can do is muddy the waters 
on the shifter issue.
There are no drawings of the shifter travel or overall 
design to compare.
I do not have any drawings of 3872871, 3879762 or 3881738.
Early shifter housings bolt directly to the floor while 
late shifters have that sliding plate design so comparison 
of early housings to late housings is meaningless.
The drawings have a date but don't tell you what car or 
whether 3 or 4-speed.
Some of the prints I have are marked by someone? as 
3-speed or 4-speed but I can't prove it.
The dimensions shown for levers are center of pivot to 
center of shift ball
