It's really funny that this has morphed into the "Early Corvairs were copied
often" theme.
This is a LATE MODEL - type design introduced to the public on September 26,
1964 essentially the same time as the LM Corvair. Either both GM and Nissan
were copying the same thing (likely European) or the GM and Nissan designers
both attended the same school of design (as a practical matter, there are only
two). Given the simultaneous timing, design and tooling leadtimes, there's no
chance that this is a design copy situation.
At any rate, the similarity is remarkable.

Be interesting to have more exact dating on the photo, but wasn't GM
keeping the late model styling well under wraps? Or did they copy this?
