<VV> Corvair Alternators and Starters

What is so weird about Corvair alternators that local
FLAPS don't have rebuild kits for them?  Same goes for
the starters too.

I'm not looking for a rebuild kit for either anymore
cause I fixed the starter and decided on a rebuilt
alternator.  But before I decided this I called and
they didn't even show an existence of a kit for either
of them.
