<Standard Monza is 110.>
My understanding is that there was never an engine tie-in with the Monza
models. In other words, the standard engine on a Monza was always the same engine
as was standard on any Corvair. The contrary was a popular misconception at
the time that the cars were new and, apparently, continues to the present.
Since the first increased horsepower Corvair engine debuted roughly at the same
time as the Monza model, some folks at the time erroneously referred to the
higher horsepower engine as the "Monza engine." Au contraire!
