<VV> Holding on to an airbag steering wheel (No Corvair)

<"best" condition for an airbag deployment, and that 
is:
Hands at 10 and 2,>

I thought they were now saying hold on to the steering wheel at 7:00 and 5:00 
o'clock because of the airbag.  Not the best position for steering clear in 
an emergency evasive procedure but....  

So, anybody out there young enough to have had driver's ed. in the airbag 
era?  (Ryan?)  or anybody had a kid take driver's ed recently whose kid discussed 
this?
