Brace would probably be a good idea particularly if going to add an air
cleaner on top. That said, neither the AFB nor the QJ is particularly heavy
(not like a Holley or a 4GC).
AFB - Carter Aluminum Four Barrel (CS-9500 with electric choke is 7.2 lbs)
QJ - Quadrajet (Rochester made some and so did Carter)
4GC - sorry, that is what Rochester called it.
Think the easiest without major head machining would the dual throttle body
used on GM 2.8 and 3.1 trucks c.a. 1990. If not going to spray on the back
of the valve then might as well start the A/F mix as far from the head as
possible & the one piece contains injectors, IAC, TPS, and MAP sensor (in
air cleaner) - Note to acronym police: if going to play with FI you had
better know these.

ps anyone know which cylinder on a 110 hp runs the hottest at 60-70 mph
cruise ? Imagine 140 would be the same since only running on primaries then.
