Yes, I'm sure the thickness is a factor. The point was that folks are
exceeded the 20 ft lbs in an effort to "snug up" the center gasket to it's
sealing surface. This is what leads to the split outer U gaskets.
Attachments (if any) are scanned with anti-virus software.
