<VV> Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Hi Gang!

So the oil pressure sending unit appears to be leaking oil on my '65 Monza 110 PG...Does anyone know if this unit is interchangable with other GM sending units of the time, say a small block chev or inline 6? After reading the chassis shop manual, it says to remove it with a special tool, but I'm wondering if a 12 point socket would work just as well? Seems like a simple enough thing to change otherwise...Thanks in advance
