<VV> movie with corvair part

I was watching a '50s Roger Corman horror movie (Beast from haunted 
cave, I think), and at the beginning, two guys are driving in a car..  I 
thought they were sitting close together and I said to my wife "that's a 
Corvair!".. sure enough, the long shot revealed a Lakewood wagon.. 
didn't see the front and haven't used stop action to study the back, so 
I don't know what year it was...
