i used to buy real nice diesel custom cruiser wagons cheap and convert them 
to gas 403 engines. made a real nice car. i always poked the gas tank and 
drained them while removing the engine, i blew the lines out. once i did a nice 
loaded cutlass with low miles. the cutlass did not drain as well. it raised holy 
heck with the engine running on what had to be a gallon or so of deisel with 
the gas. fogged and ran like crap for that whole tank of hitest.  it does not 
take much kero or deisel to make things real bad. been there and wont again.  
many times i have added a quart of 30 w oil to gas for top lube on a new engine 
with no evidence in exhaust (full tank of gas) on non converter cars.
