I have no special right to do so, but I regard one major service of (my
participation in) VV to include answering the SAME questions over and over
again, often by way of pointing the asker to the source of the information
he seeks, rather than actually reiterating it. Others can do this or not as
their inclinations and knowledge dictate - and I'll stop doing it when I no
longer feel like it. But I consider myself part of the Welcome mat of the
Corvair hobby, conscious that most of my beneficiaries will not (yet) have
joined CORSA.
I think people like Larry Claypool, who did his bit on VV and then went
on to other things - thank God they remain Corvair-related - would applaud
an approach like this. Just because they quit doing it does NOT mean to me
that they think they should no longer be done. They've just chosen to hand
over the reins to later-comes whom they've brought up well.

Maybe I am alone on my thinking or others feel the same way....
As it seems to me VV is an incredible source of info for vair owners to
keep their cars on the road and visible to the masses. I would also
believe a great resource for recruiting new members due to the
visibility on the street and the feeling that potential new
member/owners have about a technical resource.
VV has lost many, many, many (did I say many) very prominent Corvair
personalities due to the often punishing repetition of basic questions.
The Corvair Basic's manual was great step in the right direction but
does not address people who haven't committed to buying it.
The VirtualCorvairClub site has answered many of my basic questions
before I needed to post questions (or allowed me to ask more specific
and direct questions about my problem) and would be a huge benefit to
those on the list.
I don't see how it would infringe on VV or go against CORSA as it is a
tool to promote Corvairs and the growth of the hobby.
I would think that it and information about how to use it would benefit
CORSA.
I actually thought that is what the Communique was about.....way's to
improve our cars and the grow of the hobby.
