<VV> RE: Communique article rejection about using Corvair site

Maybe I am alone on my thinking or others feel the same way....

As it seems to me VV is an incredible source of info for vair owners to
keep their cars on the road and visible to the masses. I would also
believe a great resource for recruiting new members due to the
visibility on the street and the feeling that potential new
member/owners have about a technical resource.

VV has lost many, many, many (did I say many) very prominent Corvair
personalities due to the often punishing repetition of basic questions.
The Corvair Basic's manual was great step in the right direction but
does not address people who haven't committed to buying it.

The VirtualCorvairClub site has answered many of my basic questions
before I needed to post questions (or allowed me to ask more specific
and direct questions about my problem) and would be a huge benefit to
those on the list.

I don't see how it would infringe on VV or go against CORSA as it is a
tool to promote Corvairs and the growth of the hobby.

I would think that it and information about how to use it would benefit
CORSA.

I actually thought that is what the Communique was about.....way's to
improve our cars and the grow of the hobby.

Hi Harry,

I feel somewhat left out because it appears your comments address every
issue but mine. Just curious why that is?

Based on your comments below, I would have expected my offer to submit a
tutorial on how to use the virtual vairs archive on
http://www.virtualcorvairclub.com

virtualcorvairclub.com is a private, not-for-profit endeavor that hasn't
had
a single donation to even cover expenses... it certainly cannot be
considered commercial.

Does learning to use a search engine on a Corvair specific database that
will soon reach 300,000 entries have no "redeeming value to our members"
or
is it that CORSA fears such an article will simply be promoting a
product?

Can you help me understand why my idea for an article in the Communique
was
rejected?

Kind Regards,

Joe
