Yes,. I think they are all the same length. I don't know about the LM inner 
spline gear vs. the early trans output shaft splines, but I think they are 
the same.
No, it will not, unless you have a LM PG pinion gear shaft. A PG pinion 
shaft will fit fine in a manual diff, AFAIK..

 Is the pinion shaft different in the early to lates?  I.e. will the late 
model shaft have the teeth for the speedo cable?
