A guy I know has a can of motor oil, can't remember the brand, that
dates back to WW-II.
Ya know, I have a glass jar with some Kendall motor oil in it... the label is
missing from the jar, but the lid is still relatively clear, and it has a
green-ish tint to it... I thought it was weird until I saw some "recent" Kendall
oil... same green tint... but this is a glass jar, about a quart... and it has
the "Kendall Peace sign" with the two fingers in the air... for those trivia
beginners out there the two raised fingers on the hand represent the fact that
the oil was considered "good for two thousand miles" and this was before oil
filters were in wide use. I have an ad from 1927 extolling the virtues of the
Kendall oil... pretty cool..
