It is a little difficult accessing the turn signal sockets with the cans in place.  I wouldn't remove them to get to the sockets but someone else might...

I personally know of at least 3-1965's (1 being mine) and 1-1969, that were all 
missing the rear ones only.  Did maybe they only put them in front on some, or 
if they were removed by some P.O. why? They have been re-installed in all but 
one of the afore mentioned.  To add to what Jim Houston supplied, Bob Bentz in
