For what it's worth:
There's an absolute stripper '67 500 in the driveway.
95hp 3-sp heater no radio no nuthin. It doesn't even have a door jam
domelight switch or glovebox light. It does still have its original spare
tire. It had a fake cigar lighter plug in the dash... not sure if this
was original or what.
The car has the mandatory stuff on board such as 4-way flashers and
mirrors, and depending on which source you use, heat/defrost. This
brings up another question:
Was a heater/defrost standard equipment and thus no "delete" for such in
'67? Heater-delete was available earlier on, but I've been told that the
vehicle's heater/defrost became part of the vehicle's safety equipment, not
unlike the rear view mirror etc. and was mandated Back When via gubmint
regs If this is so, when did it happen, and was anything in the '67
vintage GM line available heater-delete?
