Jim - I believe you have to plug an internal passage to force the  fluid 
through the cooler. Supposedly you can get to it when you have the front  cover 
off to swap in the one from the FC. Larry Claypool set up the trans for me  and 
I had told him that I was running the cooler. You will also need to  modify 
your front crossmember because that is where the feed and return for the  cooler 
port are located. I did this on a Stinger for Autocross about 25 years  ago.
