I'd say use it!  The "nicks"  are corrosion..most likely....

ps  the other side of the PP  is important!  gggg

Writing on the clutch material still....typical..throw a bunch of new parts 
at something you don't even know if it runs!  gggg

You can't imagine all the NEW  parts that are found in cars in the wrecking 
yards!
