<VV> 85 isn't the point

It's all in the setup....

My  66's engine / trans was from Ed Corsons 41 mpg winner in 1981

164 +0.060"   Otto 10 cam    octane cut[?]  trans is a 61  with low 
1st......diff is 3.08

Carbs had a  "BB"  on top of the powervalves!....49 jets......still ran 
strong!

I can get over 30  now in a vert....on the highway trips...
