Two reasons: (a) (assuming you mean SPRAY paint) I would have to do a lot of
masking; and (b) many of the locations are such that I can't paint the WHOLE
hex (obstructions, etc), and I don't want to leave any part, even a
non-visible part, exposed to rust, the way the factory did (and I suppose
you do).
