The biggest asset on a trip in a Vair is the CORSA  membership guide....not 
only help.....parts...but usually a place to work on it!  Much better than 
beside the road or some sleezy Motel [ nice ones won't allow it!]   gggg

You must be going to the wrong FLAPS....not friendly.....I can go into most 
any..NAPA / Northern /AZ, etc. and get the books.....they all have them....

Plugs?    13mm  1/2"  reach......only V W Beetle uses them....common vehicle 
that is....super easy to X reference....there's only like 5  
variations....smallest section in the book!   Right now for a streeter....Bosch 7402[?] at 99 
cents is the most common...

Dist. is just a Chevy 6 [ 230-250 ci]  

Fuel pump..comes in 2 availabilities....mechanical...elelctric!

EM / FC  rear axle bearings.....No one makes them.....but many members have 
them stashed....CORSA GUIDE / local CHAPTER / CORVAIR VEDORS / EBAY
Most people travel with a spare...but a VENDOR will overnight one!

Brakes...just ask for the number on the shoe!    It's a NATIONAL / FEDERAL  
number.....on the boxes they come in!    [ 60's Chevelle!]

ALL  bearings have a number on them.....X reference!

I could go on and on.....but   you've got to have an incentive to join a 
local Chapter..CORSA.....come to meets...GGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

Besides.. it sounds harder to do than it really is!

PS   have owned 1  Vair book.....The Classic Corvair........but I moved and 
haven't found it yet!
