I've NEVER heard anyone complain about an Ovation guitar, and they make
several lefty models!

You have now - I don't like them.  They don't "feel" right to me.  I know plenty of people who like them but I don't like their sound or playability.  I get the feeling that a left-handed guitar from spain is probably a classical/flemenco nylon-stringed guitar - not a steel string acoustic like an Ovation.
