Adding to the ongoing list of "stupid" questions and comments about Corvairs, I love the question posed to the seller of the '64 Rampside on ebay (#4542216353):

Q: Hey man! I like your truck except for the ramp or whatever it is on the passengers side. Could that be welded shut or something to keep it from falling out while driving it? Did it come from Chevy like that? Apr-09-05
A: That is why it is called a Rampside. It has a ramp that lowers to the ground, protected by a rubber cap, so you can load appliances, lawn mowers, etc., into the bed and yes it came from Chevrolet that way.
