<VV> ' 61 loadside steering wheel

Hey Gang,
What are the chances that a 60 steering wheel and column could be put in a 61 Loadside?
Or to go about this another direction is, What is the diameter of the turning signal cup just below the steering wheel?
I have purchased a cancelling cam that is way to big to fit in the cup. It was to be for a 61-62 Chevy pickup.
The diameter of the new cam is 3.170 which is almost the same size as the cup. The old cam diameter was 2.835 which will fit just right.
Does anyone have any experience with this??
