Why is that nuts? Maybe he likes adventures. Maybe he has a backup plan.
I did something similar with a Corvair that had been stored for years. I
figured the closer I could get it to home, the shorter the trailering
distance (I made it all the way home). Then there was the time in 1943 when
I was 4 that we moved from Dallas, TX to Minneapolis, MN. Two kids, old
car, bald tires filled with boots. Somewhere in the neighborhood of a dozen
flat tires fixed by the side of the road. People today are such wusses.
Drive it and if it craps out, deal with it.

It keeps getting better folks. The guy that actually won the auction for my
'60 for $800.00 is flying in to Denver from Toronto to pick up the car and
drive it home. Isn't that about 2000 miles? I hate to put his name out but
maybe I should so that someone could tell him he's nuts and I could let him
off the hook for this deal. Sorry, I just had to pass this on. Thanks for
all replies to my previous post.
Scratching My Head,
Jeff Golden
