You are in the wrong place Chuck. The electrical switch in on the outside of 
the column, on top, behind the column support brace.  Ususally you have to 
remove the column support brace bolts and lower the column to access the switch.  
Note that the switch is adjustable and you will have to locate it so that 
both the "start" and "accy" positions are activated when the key is turned. 

If you ever want to remove the pivot pins, get an 1 1/2" machine-screw that 
fits the thread of the pin. Run a nut up to the top of the screw, followed with 
meduim-sized washer. Place the bolt through a 7/16" 1/4" drive socket and 
screw this whole shebang into the pivot pin.  Tighten the nut to extract the pin 
into the cavity of the socket. (or get a tool from JCW, they're cheap)

I've got a bad ignition switch on my 1992 Olds Cutlass Supreme and have taken 
everything apart, except I can't quite figure out how to remove the tilt 
steering wheel pivot pins. I assume you have to remove the tilt section to 
access 
the switch...
