We have a late and surprise addition to this years Corsa/NC Fall Affair
Banquet on Saturday October 16th 2004

Mr. Dean Tryon, a retired GM engineer presently residing in Wake Forest
NC and also a member of a group whom for the past number of years have
been involved in restoring a 1953 GM "Futurliner" has agreed to give us
a presentation on their project and the ongoing work in progress.The
presentation will include photographs and a history of these most
unusual vehicles.A Q&A session will most likely follow afterwards.
12 GM Futurliners were originally built in 1940-41 for the GM "Parade of
Progress" which ran for the years 1941-56,This particular Futurliner was
rebuilt by GM in 1953. These vehicles nicknamed "Red Elephants"due to
their Red paint scheme and shape are even more unconventional than our
beloved Corvairs.

North-Raleigh Hilton in Raleigh NC. to Pre-Register through 09/30/04
