Stylish! We recently hit the roads with a 1962 Monza convertible which
hadn't been driven since 1969. It took a bit of refurbishment but the car
is now up and running well. Some of the things on it that I'd expected to
need to address were actually fine, as if nothing deteriorated during its
decades of storage. The brakes were simply "kitted", wheel cylinders
themselves were fine, honed out clean and bright. The master cylinder
worked perfectly without any attention at all, everything looked fine, not
a hint of any deterioration, couldn't find any reason to overhaul it. The
suspension bushings, shocks, bearings etc all were fine, not a problem
anywhere. Like Mike Stilwell said earlier, the car was like a time
capsule. I'm pleased with the way it performs, drives, runs, handles.
It's gonna get some miles put on it over the next weeks to see how it likes
being alive again.
Congrats on YOUR successes of a similar nature.
It feels good to accomplish something like this, doesn't it...?
