His lying about why he's selling the wheels is what casts suspicion.  Why 
make up a story at all ?  Just say you're selling them, and forget the 
fiction.

The new seller should spent time worrying about actually getting the wheels 
or he will have a disgruntled "winner."

Has he paid the original owner for the wheels yet ?
