To all who contemplate replacing the wheels on your car with other than  
stock. Take the original spare out of your Trunk/Engine compartment, and measure  
the backspace. Lay a straight edge across the rear edge of the wheel (not the  
tire) and use a ruler to measure the distance from that plane to the contact  
face where the wheel contacts the hub. That is the backspace. Stay near that, 
 and remain reasonable in width, (6" on earlies, 7.5" on lates) and you will 
be  fine, no matter what diameter wheel you install. Several people run 17 or 
even  18 inch diameters. If you stay under 25 inch diameter, you will likely  
clear in all areas.  -Seth
