Hi Charles,
Having converted my Devin C to a pull type hydraulic clutch cylinder, I think this is the ultimate clutch conversion for an FC. BTW, it works fabulously and does not require any clutch adjustment. I checked my Greenbrier and with a bracket, it looks like the master clutch cylinder can be located with the rod facing forward behind the panel that the cable is pulled from. Someone mentioned that they had done this very conversion and the bracket was pretty simple and did not require welding. I know that the installation of the slave cylinder is simple and only requires drilling one hole in the transmission cross member, but does require some torching to bend the clutch pull rod around the U-joint and to heat it so it can be flattened and a hole drilled into it. Not much work, nor expensive. I hope to do this very conversion on my Greenbrier, but have several projects in the queue before that one. The cost should be less than $200 for the new hydraulics plus the cost of th
e bracket and modifications to the clutch pull rod. If someone wants to go ahead and make this their favorite project, I can provide info on what I have done complete with pics on the rear portion. I have ideas for the forward part, but have not done more than that. E-mail me privately for more info.
