Hi Steve

MERCON is the FORD name for the same fluids.

Now I have NO idea if the revision of DEXRON III H will also be adopted by FORD, but I would reckon so. 

While on the subject, MOPAR Auto Transmission fluid, previously known as plain old MOPAR ATF, and ATF+2, had a new version out about 2 years ago called MOPAR ATF+3. Now my local chrysler dealer tells me there is a new ATF+4....

If you own a mopar KEEP extra ATF in your vehicle in case you run low. they no longer recommend using dexron III until you can get somewhere  where you can get your fluid changed and replaced with the correct MOPAR ATF. This used to be the emergency thing to do----no longer.
