Best way to dry a car (and it's free as well) is go and give it a good
thrashing while it is still dripping wet. You need to get up to at least 75
mph (where legal, of course!).

If you do it quickly enough this will remove all the water except a very few
drops, before it dries. The bit that is least satisfactory on a Vair is
usually the rear cove panel (because of the vortex effect), but everything
else comes up lovely. On a hot day you have to be quick starting out, but if
you leather off the last few drops from the cove panel etc. when you return,
it makes a very good job.

It's more satisfactory than just leathering the car without moving it,
because it removes all the water from places like round the trunk
weatherstrip, behind chrome strips and wheel arch trims, etc., which can
stay wet for ages if you just leather the car.

Cheers

Alan
