In case it didn't come through in the past posts, my main objections to 
allowing such people as this tele column buyer to advertise in the CC is 
  that 1)his request is deceptive (after all, CC IS for CORVAIR people, 
not Corvette people) and 2)what he was doing was taking a (RARE) Corvair 
assembly, disassembling it, and converting and diverting SOME parts to 
Corvette usage, while scrapping the rest. The net result is to deprive 
the Corvair hobby of desirable parts, making them even more rare. By 
contrast, using Corvair parts in dune buggies, etc. only serves to 
expand the Corvair hobby. And as Norm Witte pointed out, CORSA was 
founded with the purpose of promoting the PRESERVATION of Corvairs, NOT 
the destruction of same.

While I don't expect us to be able to enforce a rigid ban on such kinds 
of deception, I think that once it is found out, it would be folly on 
our part to allow it to continue. You can say all you want about the 
"free market," but if we don't defend our own, we won't have anything to 
defend.
