I don't know anything about torque tubes. Was there ever one on a Corvair?
If not: (a) please don't answer this message; and (b) don't post any more to
this forum about them. If there was, then please by all means fill us in.

All I was saying is, there are several modern iterations of the torque tube
that do NOT use solid shafts. And for good reason, that's all...
