Here's a way out suggestion. Why not drive it to failure? With a little 
practice you can learn to shift gears without the clutch, excepy fot 1st and rev. 
So why not get one the interstate and go until something starts making noise or 
fails otherwise? If it is a bad pilot bng, it shouldn't last long.
