Just a guess - Is it Jim? Different distributors were used in each engine  
model. Sometimes they changed across years, sometimes not. The principle  
differences were Mechanical advance rate and total amount, vacuum advance type  (for 
Turbos pressure retard.) We would have to know the engine HP and year to  
pick out the correct original distributor. If it was originally in a 65 and had  
two carbs, it was likely a 95 or 110.  The dist number is stamped on the  side 
of the housing. There are several brands of electronic conversions, a  couple 
fit inside the distributor, others are just outside boxes controlled  by the 
original points. You will get a bunch of opinions. The Pertronix brand  lives 
entirely within the distributor - excepting only the two connecting  wires. 
There are others that replace the points and control an external  box. The witch 
kind only work on Halloween! <grin> -  Seth
