It evidently wasn't.   I think it's an interesting color but not what I
would pick personally.   GM evidently decided that not enough interest in
the color was forthcoming, hence its not showing up again after '65.

Actually it seems to be the other way around.    Most of the 140hp engines
I've seen which were NOT in Corsas seem to be behind Powerglide
transmissions.   There are 5 140hp engines among the fleet and in local
storage, and the two which had flywheels were RB code 140s and are Corsa
engines (one of them is in my Corsa ragtop) and thus were only available
with a manual gearbox.   The other two (in cars) are standard Monza 140s
and they were attached to Powerglides ('68 Monza and a '69 Monza).   One
other 140 engine in storage came out of a '65 Monza which had a Powerglide.
    

I think that if you run the numbers from '65 through '69, you'll find that
most 140 engines produced were fitted to Powerglides.
