I have a set of 140 primarys that are in perfect (already rebuilt)
condition.
I know they have a
superior design but how would they work on this engine?.

I know there are air cleaner issues but those can be dealt with.

I'm thinking this would result in a better DRIVING car.

Am I right or wrong here?

The 65 140 Primary carb (virtually identical to the 65 110 Carb) is the best
starting point for a Rochester carb on a Vair. It offers the extra
tune-ability of the high speed enrichment circuit and the shaft vent on the bottom. I
would use those! You could adjust jet sizes if you want, but remember that
you do have those high speed enrichment circuits, unless you disable them.- Seth
