The headlights are protected by a breaker--not a fuse. The breaker
interupts the juice to the headlights, but doesn't completely shut them down like a
fuse would so you still can see. You've got an electrical short most likely.

12965 coupe after high beam lights on about 5 min. starts flashing on off
like hazard warning lights. not low beam just high beam. would i be better
served looking at dimmer switch first or look at light switch? and will an early
switch fit 65.
