While we're on the subject of alternators, is there a cure for the incessant
whine that all the alternators on my "modern"
GM cars ('92 Olds, '98 Buick) have? I'm sure it's the alternator. On the
Olds it changes in time to the blinker and when I turn the lights on. I've
had 3 alternators on the Olds over the years, and they all make noise.
