What does the oil look like?   Drip some oil along a paper towl so it rolls 
an inch.  Look for metal bits.  Have you pulled the valve covers and looked 
at the  rocker arms for anything unusual?  Static turning the engine over 
by wrench wont  show anything if it is a bearing.   Next pull the oil pan, 
look for unusual stuff.   Next top cover needs to come off and look....
