Take it apart and look for a ripped / perforated diaphram...then for a loose 
"poppet valve" [ 2  ea.]...val]ves can be "restaked"  into place.

Although the Mech. pumps are fine....a cheap Electric will suffice....just 
get a GM   DUAL  contact oil pressure / fuelpump cutoff switch....in case of 
accident...

Reverse the fuelines to make the sytem look cleaner!  Just leave the Mech. 
pump in the hole...

Go for it gal!  You can be running tomorrow!
