Anil,
I'd just loosen the bolt on the clamp that holds the distributor to the
point where it still holds the distributor in place, but not so tight that
you can't move it by hand. If it won't start, you may have too much advance.
Retard (clockwise) it slightly and try to start. Not starting, retard a bit
more - till it does. You can set the timing correctly when you get it home.
But you may want to leave the bolt alone after that - so you can still just
move the distributor by hand on the roadside without tools handy.
On the other hand, have you rechecked you installation to make sure nothing
fell out of place or broke?
