I have had bad luck with clutch discs that are rivited in the past. So now I only use welded discs, just like GM used to use. I have had the old welded discs relined by a local company when the parts stores could not supply welded discs.

I drove my '62 Corvair 95 for many years (1984 to 1998)without any clutch problems and its old 3 speed trans and a 102hp engine.
