Where are you at?    It makes a BIG difference...Cars out in the SW  can sit 
for 15 years and the mechanicals are fine....Sun rot on the paint upholstery...

Back east and South.......they rot from the inside out....

1 yr is not long......but sounds like this car has not been driven 
"regularily" for decades...
