It will cost you more to repair the rust than to buy this car. If the car
runs and is otherwise more or less free of defects . . . ANY car would be a
good buy at the price. A Corvair, that much better. Depending on where you
live, you should expect to find no mechanic qualified to do any more to your
Corvair than change its oil. A Corvair was MY first car, too, but at that
time, Corvairs were in the current fleet, and there were people and places
to take care of it. Despite that, I eventually found it more rewarding to
take care of it myself, which I do (to my present Corvair) to this day.

I have never owned a corvair, or any car for that matter. However, I
have always admired corvairs, and when I went to buy a car, I found a man
who is willing to sell me his 1965 corvair corsa coupe to me for $1000.
It is in good condition, except for some rust in the wheelwells. I was
just wondering if this would be a good deal and how much will it cost to
repair the rust?
